Insight Global is seeking a Program Lead for the Missile Compartment to support increased workload and program demand. This is a high‑visibility role embedded in a shipyard environment, responsible for driving execution, removing barriers to production, and ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met. The ideal candidate is a well‑organized, proactive leader who can think strategically while acting tactically in a fast‑paced construction environment. This position offers broad exposure across Engineering, Planning, Operations, and senior leadership.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Own and communicate status of assigned missile compartment models, including milestones, metrics, and overall progress

• Prepare and deliver presentation and metric content for program and leadership reviews

• Plan, prepare, and lead a weekly Red-Work Meeting (approximately 2 hours/week) with cross‑functional stakeholders including Production Control, Advanced Planning, Detail Planning, Engineering, and Ship’s Management

• Serve as a key information conduit to Operations, ensuring production teams have what they need to execute

• Develop and manage priority lists for Detail Planning, focusing on the top 15 critical work items

• Actively remove roadblocks that prevent production teams from executing work (“turning wrenches”) by solving problems on the boat and partnering with managers to improve efficiency

• Coordinate across Engineering, Planning, Operations, Contracts, Test, and other functional teams to resolve design, material, and construction issues in a time‑critical environment

• Track and report performance using cost, schedule, and attainment metrics (e.g., IMCS data, 3G/7G reports)

• Support continuous improvement by applying lessons learned ahead of production to prevent issues before they impact the construction team

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline

• 2+ years of experience in project management, construction management, or a related execution‑focused role

• Working knowledge of project scheduling, including the ability to read and build schedules

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

• Willingness to work onsite in Groton, CT

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses

• Prior experience leading a team (military leadership, construction lead, or similar)

• Contract knowledge and/or negotiation experience

• Experience in shipbuilding, heavy manufacturing, or industrial construction environments

• Familiarity with Navy programs

• Comfort operating in “grey areas” while protecting safety, quality, and reliability
