Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager - Municipal Engineering to join a leading design and consulting firm specializing in transportation, community planning, environmental, energy, and construction services. In this role, you’ll support multi-disciplinary projects from proposal through closeout, helping ensure they stay on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating client meetings, public hearings, and involvement events, as well as maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. You’ll work directly with municipal clients—potentially on-site in a staff augmentation setting—to help deliver CIP programs and projects. Day-to-day tasks will include tracking budgets and timelines, preparing project documentation, and supporting basic project management duties such as scheduling, task coordination, and status reporting. You’ll also assist with business development by attending client meetings and networking events, and help identify funding opportunities for municipal projects. This role is perfect for someone who is interested in upward mobility and leadership opportunities.

Must have skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • PE license or ability to obtain registration in 6 months
  • 5+ years of Project Manager municipal experience

  • Direct experience working for a municipality
  • Experience in managing municipal CIP programs and projects, clients and staff
