Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Production Supervisor to support a food production operation in Chaska, MN. This individual will oversee day-to-day production activities and employees throughout their assigned shift, ensuring safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and customer standards are consistently met. The Production Supervisor will also be responsible for developing employees, monitoring production performance, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily production operations and employees throughout the assigned shift
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, GMP, company, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage production lines, equipment, employees, and raw materials to meet production schedules
  • Monitor safety, quality, cost, service, and productivity performance
  • Lead shift meetings, shift exchanges, and daily production planning activities
  • Hire, coach, develop, and manage production employees
  • Monitor production processes, make adjustments, and ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Verify production line readiness during start-ups and changeovers
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve safety, quality, and productivity issues
  • Implement process improvement initiatives
  • Complete production, material, labor, and payroll documentation accurately and on time
  • Analyze performance data to identify operational improvement opportunities

Skills and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of Production Supervisor experience within a food production environment
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and utilize SAP
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment requiring extended periods of standing/walking, bending, stooping, and climbing ladders
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to obtain forklift, pallet jack, and aerial lift licensing
