Project Manager – Bank Merger (Business Applications)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale bank merger, leading initiatives focused on the integration and modernization of business-critical banking applications. The Project Manager will support projects across Treasury, Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Payments, and Retail Banking systems, with hands-on experience in 2–3 of these domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for merger-related initiatives supporting business applications within select banking domains (e.g., Treasury, Commercial/Consumer Lending, Payments, ATM/Teller/Branch systems)
- Manage system integrations, enhancements, and conversions for acquired or consolidated platforms
- Partner with business, technology, vendors, and risk/compliance teams to align scope, timelines, and dependencies
- Drive project governance, status reporting, executive communications, and risk/issue management
- Support testing, data conversion, cutover, and operational readiness activities tied to the merger
- Ensure projects adhere to regulatory, security, and operational standards
Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience within banking or financial services
- Experience supporting bank mergers, system conversions, or large-scale integrations
Strong experience in at least 2–3 of the following areas:
- Treasury platforms
- Commercial lending systems
- Consumer lending systems
- Payment platforms
- ATM, Teller, and Branch systems
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in regulated environments
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
