About the role:
Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO) , you will be the key HR collaborator and partner to our Australian leaders. This is a pivotal role focused on delivering proactive, operational HR solutions, advice, and coaching to drive organisational effectiveness and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee & Industrial Relations (ER/IR): This is a key focus!. A strong emphasis will be on Award interpretation and partnering with the business in regard to Enterprise Agreement (EA) related matters. You will partner with leaders across all aspects of ER/IR, including performance management, grievances, and dispute resolution process.
- HR Partnering & Coaching: Provide timely, expert, and commercially focused HR advice to leaders and managers across the entire employee life cycle , including recruitment, performance management, talent development, and compliance.
- Talent Acquisition: Manage the local talent acquisition process, partnering with leaders on assignments, remuneration benchmarking, sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- HR Project Implementation: Collaborate with the CPO to review and develop HR policies and processes, and lead the local implementation of global/national HR initiatives. Recommend initiatives to reinforce our values and promote high employee engagement.
What You'll Bring
- 5 + years proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a dynamic, growing environment. Experience in the energy/power sector is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in Award interpretation and managing complex ER/IR issues, including Enterprise Agreement (EA) negotiations.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial relations practices.
- Strong relationship management, collaboration, coaching, and influencing skills across all levels.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
- A hands-on approach to work is essential in our start-up environment.
