Grid Analyst / Associate
The Role
We are looking for a Grid Analyst / Associate to join our clients development team, using grid analysis to identify and secure land for renewable energy and storage projects.
Their approach to origination is grid-led. Rather than relying on cold outreach to landowners, using proprietary internal software to analyse grid availability and identify the sites with the strongest prospects. This role sits at the point where grid analysis becomes a land opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a technical background (engineering, electrical or grid engineering, energy or a related discipline) who wants to build a career in renewable energy development. You do not need previous land acquisition experience. You will be supported in learning land agreements and the wider development process, with increasing responsibility as your knowledge grows.
What you will do
- Use internal analysis software to assess grid availability and screen and prioritise potential sites
- Build an understanding of connection capacity, network constraints and how these shape site viability
- Turn grid analysis into targeted land opportunities, researching land parcels and ownership
- Engage with landowners on the sites we have identified, supporting a smaller number of focused, well-informed conversations
- Support the preparation and management of land agreements and associated documentation
- Work closely with grid, planning and project development colleagues, and feed back on how the software's outputs perform in practice

Requirements
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree or professional background in engineering, grid/electrical engineering, energy, renewable energy or a related technical discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfort working with data and software tools
- A genuine interest in renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with landowners and other stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good attention to detail, particularly with documentation and agreements
- A commercial and proactive approach to work
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness to learn and develop into a specialist role within renewable energy development
