About the role

The Imperial Policy Forum is seeking a Policy & Programmes Officer who will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of a programme of work raising the profile of Imperial's world-leading research and innovation on issues relating to climate, energy and sustainability, and connecting this to live public policy challenges.

What you would be doing

The role will work closely with academic and professional services staff within Imperial's School of Convergence Science (announced as part of our strategy Science for Humanity), the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment, and Imperial's broader climate and energy community to maximise the policy impact and influence of its research. You will achieve this through proactively developing and delivering a programme that engages with and influences key senior policymakers in government and Parliament.

The postholder will play an important role in developing and delivering training and development opportunities to Imperial academics, staff and students looking to engage with policymakers, and as such, experience operating in policy environments is essential for this role.

In addition to this, we are looking for a clear and concise communicator, who is inspired by working towards real-world policy impact.

If you are someone that takes the initiative, enjoys working autonomously and is comfortable engaging with both researchers and policymakers than please do apply!

What we can offer you

  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days’ annual leave and generous pension schemes).
