Role Description The Stem Trainer will design and deliver engaging STEM lessons and workshops, with a focus on areas such as AI, Robotics, IoT, and sustainable technologies for school and college learners. This full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore involves planning curriculum-aligned activities, preparing training materials, and facilitating hands-on projects in labs and classrooms. The Stem Trainer will mentor students in innovation challenges, support Atal Tinkering Lab programs, and guide learners in problem-solving, critical thinking, and project-based learning. The role includes collaborating with coordinators, educators, and partner institutions, conducting assessments, and providing feedback to improve learner outcomes. The Stem Trainer will also contribute to outreach events, awareness programs, and documentation of training sessions and impact reports.

Qualifications

  • Strong STEM knowledge and practical experience in fields such as Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics, AI, IoT, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and creating hands-on learning activities for diverse age groups.
  • Effective training and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and encourage interactive, learner-centered sessions.
  • Experience mentoring students on innovation projects, competitions, or hackathons, preferably aligned with sustainability or social impact themes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to collaborate with educators, institutions, and program coordinators.
  • Comfort with basic educational technologies and tools (e.g., simulation software, microcontrollers, robotics kits, online learning platforms).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Education, or a related field; prior teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, manage multiple sessions and batches, and maintain accurate records of learner progress and program outcomes.
