Senior Project Consultant (ApacheHVAC)


The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Consultant to join our Consultancy team in our Pune office, working with the country’s top IESVE modellers, in the company who created the software.

You will be working as a member of our expanding international consulting team, responsible for modelling complex projects, which can include meeting clients to establish project requirements.

You will run simulations assessing building and mechanical system design alternatives and advise clients on the results of those simulations. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile international projects with our global team and will be given the encouragement and support to develop your career, as part of a unique team of building simulation consultants.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To provide consulting solutions for HVAC modelling and energy simulation
  • To support complex projects including LEED, NABERS, BREEAM, and similar rating systems
  • To model operational energy and net zero carbon projects
  • To support projects for UK building regulations
  • To coordinate with the global team on project delivery
  • To provide analysis and prepare/review the project reports
  • To provide project mentoring to our software customers as required

Key areas: Multiple Project Management/Co-ordination, LEED Documentation, energy modelling, analysing results, producing customised reports, plus more.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced (minimum four to six years), building simulation professional with appropriate and relevant engineering or architectural background, with the following skills and experience:

Essential Skills:

  • Engineer with Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with IES VE and the ApacheHVAC module (experience with other energy modelling packages will be considered, like EnergyPlus, Visual DOE, etc.)
  • Experience with LEED modelling and USGBC LEED documentation
  • Experience modelling to ASHRAE 90.1 PRM method.
  • Experience with Multiple Project Management/Co-ordination
  • Strong communication skills including speaking English

Desirable Skills:

  • Skills on IES Virtual Environment software
  • HVAC skills with either design or system selection experience
  • Heating/cooling loads calculations
  • Building rating systems such as WELL, BREEAM, Estidama, NABERS, GreenStar, GSAS
  • Python scripting
  • Skills on MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
