This role will be working from our Glasgow office with hybrid and flexible working options available.

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for software testers to join our expanding Quality Assurance (QA) team. You will work with the latest technologies, learn something new every day and use your initiative.

This intermediate role provides an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in software QA. You will work as part of a professional software development environment to contribute to the growth of the QA department. Tasks include the following:

  • Attend stand-ups and demonstrations from development team to understand new features
  • Design tests on new software versions
  • Reporting new defects and updating the status of already logged items based on testing feedback
  • Guide junior team members on development of test scripts and oversee test automation framework
  • Approval of release documentation to ensure it is complete and accurately describes the completed work for software users

The Candidate

We are looking for experienced software testers with the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum two years experience of software testing and automation (coding/scripting) e.g. using tools such as Test Complete, Selenium, Cypress
  • A strong interest in engineering, computing or mathematics
  • A qualification in computing, maths or physics is desirable but not required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and ability to contribute ideas to the team
  • High attention to detail, with questioning and logical thought process
  • Comfortable working on own initiative to tackle problems
  • Ability to take a project leadership role and guide other team members
