The Opportunity

We are looking for a Recruitment Specialist to join our friendly, global HR team. This could be an ideal opportunity for someone with previous agency experience looking to transition in-house. You will be managing recruitment campaigns for technical roles in the UK, Ireland, United States, Singapore and other global locations.

This opportunity will be temporarily home-based due to COVID-19, then subsequently working from our Glasgow office on the West of Scotland Science Park. Flexible working options will be considered.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and focussed individual who can:

  • Work closely with HR and team managers to identify role requirements
  • Create job descriptions and advise on budgets
  • Advertise roles, review applications and undertake initial candidate screening
  • Co-ordinate interviews and technical tests with team managers
  • Utilise search tools such as LinkedIn to build network of potential candidates
  • Work with colleagues across the company, including marketing and technical teams, to build professional networks and promote employer brand
  • Assist the company to reduce reliance and spend on external recruitment agencies
  • Negotiate and issue job offers
  • Maintain organised candidate database
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to ensure a smooth start to employment.

The Candidate

We are looking for an individual with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of volume recruitment in a technical environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form and build relationships
  • Ability to interpret and confidently discuss technical job roles (such as software development and building simulation engineering). Training and guidance in these areas will be provided
  • High levels of enthusiasm, bringing fresh ideas to promote our unique employer brand and sustainability mission
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Experience of working in a global setting is desirable
  • Strong IT skills including experience with Microsoft Office packages.
