The Opportunity:

Perhaps you are about to graduate or have already have some work experience. We can offer a graduate programme where you’ll be exposed to a variety of different tasks to give you a broad experience.

The successful candidates will participate in our two-year Graduate Scheme programme and will be responsible for modelling complex projects. You will build detailed models, run simulations of building and mechanical system design alternatives, and advise clients on the results of those simulations. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile projects and will be given the encouragement and support to challenge yourself and develop your career, as part of a unique team of building simulation consultants.

The Candidate

We are looking for enthusiastic graduates who are keen to develop their career with a company that is at the forefront of building simulation technology. The successful candidates will research and advise on energy usage within buildings, they will also establish control systems in order to monitor operational efficiency and performance of materials and buildings.

Does this sound like you? We would love to hear from you if you have a combination of the following skills.


  • Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. building services engineering, architectural engineering or energy engineering)
  • An understanding in the field of sustainable building design, such as energy modelling, energy auditing, low energy design, retrofits or retro-commissioning.
  • Clear and confident communications skills


  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls and/or modelling of systems
  • Experience of using building simulation software or related software tools (e.g. CAD, energy modelling, loads analysis, daylight modelling, solar modelling, HVAC design tools)
  • Experience with the IES Virtual Environment software
  • Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED and building commissioning
