Project Engineer - Utility-Scale Solar (Engineer – Level 3) Juno Beach, FL preferred Hybrid/Remote options available Travel to Juno Beach approximately once per month 12 Month Contract, up to $52.96/hour Hydrogen Group is currently supporting a leading energy client in the search for a Project Engineer to support utility-scale solar development and construction projects on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will support the engineering design and execution of utility-scale solar projects while coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders across development, procurement, environmental, transmission, and construction teams. This position will oversee third-party engineering contractors responsible for delivering complete engineering design packages and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives. Key Responsibilities Support the engineering design and construction execution of utility-scale solar farm projects. Manage and coordinate third-party engineering contractors responsible for project design packages. Provide project engineering support across the full project lifecycle from concept definition through commissioning and project closeout. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including: Environmental teams Procurement teams Transmission services Project management teams Construction teams Apply value engineering principles to optimize project reliability, cost, and performance. Support engineering reviews across multiple disciplines including: Electrical engineering Structural engineering Civil engineering Materials engineering Assist with schedule management, project budgets, technical coordination, and project reporting activities. Lead multidisciplinary coordination efforts to support project milestones and business objectives. Support issue resolution during project execution and construction activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering or project management experience. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder coordination skills. Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering projects and contractor coordination. Preferred Qualifications Engineering and project management experience supporting utility-scale solar projects preferred. Experience within the following industries may also be considered: Distributed generation (DG) / commercial solar Wind energy Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Combined cycle power generation Nuclear energy Hydrogen projects Substations and transmission systems Strong candidates from industries outside of power generation may also be considered, including aerospace, civil infrastructure, and stormwater projects.
