Project Manager - Engineering & Construction (E&C)

Location: Juno Beach, FL

Schedule: Standard Office Hours (EST)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $37-42/hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager with an engineering background to join the Value Engineering Team within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) business unit. This role is responsible for managing innovative engineering initiatives from concept and design through implementation, supporting a portfolio of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, a technical engineering foundation, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through commissioning and implementation.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to identify product improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provide technical input and assess project feasibility during implementation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements and best practices.
  • Attend industry conferences and build relationships with suppliers and vendors to identify emerging technologies and solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing engineering projects from design through implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including:
    • Scope management
    • Schedule management
    • Budget management
    • Risk management
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes, technical specifications, and implementation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and enthusiastic about continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or other power generation projects.
  • Understanding of utility-scale renewable energy project development.
  • Knowledge of project valuation and financial metrics, including:
    • Net Present Value (NPV)
    • Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
    • Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE)
  • Experience with data analysis and analytics.
