The opportunity

The parent company has a long track record of success developing and investing in data centre companies. They are now looking to create strategic partnerships with data centre operators active in Australia and help guide their power solutions.

With a depth of expertise and key relationships in the data centre ecosystem across APAC, this shareholder is highly informed and has a genuine appetite to deploy capital. This role has a unique combination of core project development and a strong commercial focus.


Position objectives

  • Introduce a sophisticated reporting system for the development pipeline to enable more effective decision making on DEVEX
  • Lead multiple BESS projects through early planning and permitting to secure key milestones
  • Help influence and shape the strategy for data centre customers 
  • Develop strategic relationships with data centre operators, deeply understand their power and help originate joint development and partnership agreements

Ideal profile

You will be highly commercial with a strategic mindset and will bring innovative ideas and approaches to successfully partnering with data centre companies in Australia to support their power requirements.

Ideally you will have a demonstrable track record of maturing projects through planning, environmental studies and approvals and have a solid technical grounding in renewables and BESS. You will possess well rounded communication skills, be comfortable making decisions quickly with limited information and gain energy from knowledge sharing, brainstorming and collaborating on highly complex commercial and technical problems.
