About the Role
We are looking for an ESG Analyst to join our team. As a team member, you will support the Company’s ESG processes, assist in developing and publishing ESG disclosures, partner with the investment team and portfolio companies, and ensure consistent, accurate, and timely ESG information is collected, analyzed, and reported.
You will be deeply involved in ESG research, due diligence, reporting, data management, benchmarking against international standards, and supporting the firm’s ESG practices and initiatives throughout the investment cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of developing and implementing effective ESG programs and initiatives across the firm and the portfolio.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative ESG research based on regulatory, investor, and internal requirements, including analysis of records, reports, frameworks, and operating practices.
- Support the firm’s ESG reporting processes, assisting with the preparation of ESG and sustainability disclosures, investor questionnaires, and ESG-related surveys to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent responses.
- Conduct research in open sources about prospective or existing partners and counterparties, with a focus on ESG aspects, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist in ESG due diligence, including collecting and analyzing ESG data, preparing due diligence summaries, monitoring action plans, and supporting ongoing progress tracking.
- Help develop and maintain ESG management tools, databases, and information systems used for ESG tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
- Work closely with internal and external partners to support ESG-related workstreams, including enhancements based on evolving ESG standards and stakeholder requirements.
- Assist in reviewing and improving ESG-related policies, procedures, and controls within the organization and the portfolio.
- Support internal ESG knowledge-building through preparation of materials and participation in ESG training sessions.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Complete higher education. A degree in sustainability, environment, social sciences, economics, data science, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven interest or experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or adjacent fields (ESG Due Diligence, Impact Assessments, materiality assessments, ESG metrics and frameworks) is preferred.
- Familiarity with key ESG standards and frameworks (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, EBRD guidelines, GRI, SASB, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) is a plus.
- Up-to-date knowledge of evolving ESG regulations (e.g., CSRD, CSDDD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, Omnibus) and ability to interpret their impact on business.
- Experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, Bloomberg ESG) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Sector-specific exposure in one or more of the following areas is required:
- Understanding of ESG risks and opportunities in the energy sector, including climate change mitigation, decarbonization strategies, renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management.
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety, community engagement, and environmental permitting processes relevant to construction projects.
- Understanding of sustainable mobility trends, including decarbonization of transport, modal shift, electrification, and supply chain emissions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Business fluent knowledge of Ukrainian and English.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, meaningful insights.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, identify and resolve problems, and improve systems and processes.
