About HKICE

The Hong Kong Institute of Circular Economy (HKICE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to driving sustainability and integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles across industries through circular economy practices. With a focus on fostering efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting innovation, HKICE collaborates with industry partners to launch transformational pilot programs that pave the way for sustainable development.


The Role

We are looking for a part-time Sustainability Officer to support research, project coordination and programme delivery. This hands-on role is suitable for a proactive candidate who can translate sustainability insights into practical actions and help execute ESG, circular economy, training and stakeholder engagement projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct desktop research and analysis on business, ESG, sustainability, circular economy, climate and related topics for programmes and projects
  • Prepare reports, briefs, research summaries, proposals, training materials and presentations for internal teams, funders and partners
  • Review and digest business/sustainability reports, benchmark market practices, and perform comparison and analysis
  • Support project coordination, including project planning, timeline tracking, deliverable follow-up, meeting scheduling, minutes, action lists and progress reporting
  • Coordinate with internal staff, trainers, consultants, community stakeholders, clients, vendors and external partners to keep projects on track
  • Assist in training, workshops, stakeholder engagement activities and project meetings, including logistics coordination, data collection, document management and post-event follow-up


Job Requirements

  • A Master's qualification, or currently pursuing a Master's degree, in business, sustainability, environmental management, social sciences or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of ESG, sustainability, climate change, circular economy, corporate governance or social impact is preferred.
  • Proficiency in research methods, data collection and information management, preferably in business, ESG or sustainability-related areas.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and summarise key insights clearly.
  • Strong project coordination and organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Chinese/Cantonese would be an advantage.
