Role Description The Murray Regional Aboriginal Landcare Coordinator is a full-time hybrid role based in Holbrook, NSW, with the option to work from home for part of the week. In this role, the coordinator will build and maintain relationships with Aboriginal communities, organisations, and landholders across the Murray region to support culturally informed landcare activities. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating on-ground NRM and agricultural projects, facilitating workshops and field days, and supporting Aboriginal-led initiatives that promote caring for Country and sustainable land management. The coordinator will work with HLN staff and partners to develop project proposals, report on progress, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with funding and governance requirements. The role also involves community engagement, communication, and sharing knowledge through meetings, local events, and written materials.

Qualifications
- Experience in natural resource management, sustainable agriculture, or landcare, with the ability to plan and deliver on-ground projects.
- Strong community engagement skills, including relationship-building with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders, facilitation of meetings, and collaborative project work.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, report writing, and preparation of educational or promotional materials.
- Organisational and project management skills, including planning, time management, budgeting, and meeting funding and reporting requirements.
- Understanding of or lived experience with Aboriginal culture, connection to Country, and culturally safe ways of working (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team, including in a hybrid work environment combining office-based and work-from-home arrangements.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in environmental science, agriculture, natural resource management, community development, or a related field.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Murray region as required.
