Senior Electrical Engineer - (PE Required) : 201246
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of power and energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on power systems, renewable energy, and grid modernization, with opportunities to mentor teams and support strategic growth initiatives. You will work across the full project lifecycle—from concept development through detailed design and execution.
Pay: $65.00- $72.00 per hour DOE
Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design for power distribution, substations, and generation systems
- Develop design calculations, specifications, and construction documents
- Support renewable energy and energy storage projects (solar, wind, etc.)
- Perform power system modeling (SKM, ETAP, or similar tools)
- Collaborate with clients to develop energy solutions and project strategies
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers
- Support business development, proposals, and client engagement
- Ensure quality, compliance, and timely project delivery
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of design/consulting experience ·
- Power distribution systems and microgrids ·
- Power generation ·
- High Voltage or Medium Voltage Substations ·
- Demonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications. ·
- Strong communication and technical writing skills ·
- Ability to work independently with minor supervision once given guidance by lead engineer ·
- 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx and NavisWorks ·
- Power system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling software ·
- Renewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologies ·
- Energy storage systems ·
- Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation · .
- Campus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planning ·
- Cogeneration or combined heat and power systems ·
- Thermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (required) or ability to gain licensure within 1 year
Preferred
- Experience with microgrids, renewable energy, and energy storage systems
- Background in protection & control, SCADA, or power system automation
- Experience with decarbonization, campus utility planning, or CHP systems
- Consulting or project management experience

- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to work hybrid in Fort Worth, TX (2 days onsite)
