Electrical Engineer: Energy and Power : 201080
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead projects, mentor team members, and partner with clients to deliver end-to-end energy solutions. This role also supports strategy and business growth initiatives.
You will evaluate client needs, develop solutions, and lead projects from concept through execution. Responsibilities include leading engineering teams, providing advisory and design expertise, and supporting strategic pursuits.
Pay: $65–$72/hr
Hybrid, 2 days onsite
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of design/consulting experience
- Experience with power distribution systems, microgrids, and power generation
- High Voltage or Medium Voltage substations experience
- Ability to develop design calculations, construction drawings, and specifications
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial guidance
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx, NavisWorks)
- Power system modeling (SKM, ETAP, or similar)
- Experience with renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro, geothermal) and energy storage systems
- Knowledge of Protection & Control, SCADA, or power system automation
- Experience with campus utility planning or decarbonization initiatives
- Familiarity with cogeneration/CHP systems and thermal utilities (steam, hot water, chilled water)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year
