The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end production planning, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to manage raw materials, logistics operations, and supplier performance across the Americas region. The candidate will collaborate with global teams to build scalable systems and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Americas region operations, including raw materials, logistics, and production planning for cell/module/pack manufacturing.
  • Manage end-to-end scheduling, delivery, and planning, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
  • Oversee raw material and logistics procurement, including planning, tracking arrivals, and ensuring production needs.
  • Control inventory to reduce capital lock-in while maintaining accuracy and compliance with JIT principles.
  • Develop and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) and run MRP in ERP systems to generate purchase orders.
  • Monitor efficiency, address issues swiftly, and respond to urgent requirements to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure on-time delivery by managing the entire order-production-delivery cycle as the central communication hub.
  • Prioritize customer demands and maximize order fulfillment efficiency.
  • Coordinate overseas material fulfillment by partnering with global purchasing and central planning.
  • Lead logistics operations, customs clearance, warehousing, and tracking receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Create and execute commodity and supplier strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, cost analyses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Perform strategic and operational purchasing tasks, including market research, supplier management, contract negotiations, and claims resolution.
  • Lead budget planning and cost optimization in coordination with Finance.
  • Drive material and labor cost efficiency across operations.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and enforce warehouse strategies.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Supervise multi-department teams (planning, logistics, warehouse, material fulfillment).
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present capacity analyses to senior leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years in materials management, purchasing, or supply chain (preferably direct materials).
  • 5+ years in PMC/Production Planning within manufacturing.
  • Preferred experience in battery manufacturing or complex global supply chains.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred), MRP, and MPS.
  • Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of BOM and ECN.
  • Familiarity with international logistics planning, warehouse operations, and transportation management.
  • Strong negotiation and cost structure analysis.
  • Knowledge of international law and supplier evaluation tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex global supply chains.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus (e.g. Mandarin).
