We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee raw materials and logistics management across the Americas region. This role is responsible for end-to-end production planning, inventory control, and order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams in planning, logistics, warehousing, and material fulfillment, driving strategic initiatives to optimize cost, enhance supplier performance, and streamline production processes.

Key responsibilities include managing the Master Production Schedule (MPS), executing MRP in ERP systems, applying JIT inventory principles, and supervising the PMC team using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. The role also involves coordinating international material sourcing, customs clearance, and inter-company transactions, while serving as the central communication hub for production and delivery cycles.

This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and ERP system skills, with a preference for experience in battery manufacturing or direct materials supply chain. Proficiency in Chinese and English is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • PMC Operational Management (cell/module/pack).
  • Lead Americas, raw materials, and logistics management, including planning, tracking arrivals, ensuring production needs, and controlling inventory to reduce capital lock-in while maintaining accuracy.
  • Develop production schedules, track efficiency to meet deadlines, monitor processes, address issues swiftly, respond to urgent requirements, prioritize customer demands, and maximize order fulfillment.
  • Ensure on-time delivery by managing the entire order-production-delivery cycle as the central communication hub.
  • Coordinate overseas material fulfillment by partnering with global purchasing and central planning and leading logistics, customs clearance, warehousing, and tracking receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • Handle inter-company transactions, accounting, exceptions, and collaborate on other tasks to meet factory operational goals.
  • Create and execute strategies for commodities and suppliers, conduct risk assessments and cost analyses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize production expenses.
  • Perform strategic and operational purchasing tasks, including market research, supplier management, contract negotiations, and claims resolution.
  • Oversee production planning, inventory, and delivery.
  • Maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and run MRP in ERP systems to generate purchase orders.
  • Apply JIT inventory principles, manage supplier relationships, optimize inventory levels, and enforce warehouse strategies.
  • Supervise the PMC team, driving process improvements with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and present capacity analyses.
  • Manage the Americas scheduling, delivery, and planning.
  • Lead budget planning and best cost through coordination with the Finance team.
  • Lead a team/multi-department group consisting of planning, logistics, warehouse, and material fulfillment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in material and labor cost optimization.

Ideal Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of materials management/supply chain experience, preferably in direct materials.
  • 5+ years in PMC/Production Planning in manufacturing.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, SAP, MS Office, and cost structure analysis.
  • Knowledge of international law and supplier evaluation tools
  • Expertise in ERP systems, MRP, and MPS.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of BOM and ECN
  • Preferred experience in battery manufacturing or supply chain.
  • International logistics planning, warehouse planning, and transportation management.
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English is a plus, but not essential.
