The Opportunity

As a Project Manager within Grid & Power Quality Solutions (GPQS), you will play a key role in delivering complex and impactful power quality and grid integration projects that support the energy transition.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of project execution, from project initiation to successful customer handover. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, international stakeholders, and strategic customers while driving project excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Lead assigned projects with full responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute project plans while managing risks, progress, and project delivery.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, HSE, quality, site, and commissioning.
  • Manage project finances, including forecasting, cost control, change management, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy standards while promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Your Background

We are looking for a leader who combines strong project management expertise with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering results.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects within engineering, infrastructure, energy, industry, or EPC environments.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and contract management understanding.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and risk management skills, with knowledge of project planning and controls.
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English. PMP, IPMA, Prince2, or similar certification is an advantage (and can also be provided).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience from power systems, substations, FACTS, STATCOM, renewable integration, energy infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Knowledge or experience from EPC project delivery models.
  • Knowledge of different execution models.
  • Comfortable with large multinational projects.
