About the Role:

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Principal in Torrance, CA. Joining our Sustainability & Business Development unit, you will identify, structure, and scale high-impact commercial alliances, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities in clean mobility and sustainable technology.


Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute enterprise strategic partnership roadmaps across clean tech, mobility, and energy.

• Build and manage a deal pipeline, conducting market intelligence, competitive analysis, and tech scouting.

• Structure and negotiate innovative joint ventures, commercial agreements, and M&A partnership terms.

• Lead cross-functional deal teams across legal, finance, engineering, corporate planning, and executive leadership.

• Establish partnership governance models, performance dashboards, and KPI tracking to ensure value capture.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering (MBA strongly preferred).

• 7+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate finance experience (automotive or tech).

• 3+ years of direct experience executing M&A, joint ventures, or complex commercial alliance contracts.

• Proven track record negotiating high-stakes agreements and managing senior executive stakeholders.

• Outstanding financial modeling, business strategy, and executive presentation capabilities.
