About the Role:
American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Business Development Manager in Torrance, CA. You will lead commercialization for distributed energy resources, structuring B2B solutions across solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure (EVSE), and smart building loads.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategic business models and commercial offerings for commercial and industrial (C&I) energy solutions.
• Structure complex energy transactions including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Energy-as-a-Service, and TPO.
• Lead multi-site proof-of-concept (PoC) pilots evaluating energy cost savings, demand response, and decarbonization.
• Direct customer acquisition and enterprise sales from initial problem discovery through commercial contracting.
• Lead cross-functional project teams across facilities, engineering, R&D, finance, and external utility partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of professional experience in energy business development, C&I energy solutions, or clean tech.
• Deep expertise across solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging, and building energy management (BEMS).
• Proven track record structuring and closing complex energy contracts (PPAs, ESCO models, Energy-as-a-Service).
• Outstanding executive presentation, contract negotiation, and team leadership capabilities.
