The Role
This is not a traditional sales role.
We’re looking for a commercially minded hunter who enjoys opening conversations with senior decision-makers and creating high-quality opportunities.
You’ll be responsible for identifying prospective customers, building relationships and booking meetings for our Commercial Director with organisations that can genuinely benefit from Heliotec’s technology.
You’ll work remotely, manage your own pipeline and use modern AI-powered sales tools to research prospects, personalise outreach and maximise productivity.
Success in this role isn’t measured by the number of calls you make. It’s measured by the quality of conversations you create and the opportunities you generate.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
* Identify and engage prospective customers across commercial and industrial sectors
* Build targeted prospect lists using LinkedIn, HubSpot and AI-assisted research
* Conduct outbound prospecting via telephone, email and LinkedIn
* Book qualified discovery meetings with senior decision-makers
* Follow up existing enquiries and nurture prospects through the sales process
* Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline management
Prospect Research
* Research target companies and key stakeholders
* Identify buying triggers and commercial opportunities
* Personalise outreach using AI tools and industry insights
* Continuously improve messaging through testing and learning
Commercial Support
* Work closely with the Commercial Director on campaign strategy
* Provide market feedback and competitor intelligence
* Help refine outreach campaigns and messaging
* Contribute ideas to improve prospecting effectiveness

Candidate Profile
Essential
* 3–5 years’ experience in a business development, sales development or new business role
* Proven track record generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting
* Comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers including CEOs, COOs, Operations Directors and Property Directors
* Excellent telephone communication and relationship-building skills
* Experience working remotely with minimal supervision
* Self-motivated, organised and driven by results
* Commercially curious and naturally consultative
* Confident using CRM systems such as HubSpot
* Strong LinkedIn prospecting experience
* Comfortable using AI tools including ChatGPT to improve research and productivity
Desirable
* Experience selling SaaS, technology or subscription-based services
* Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or similar prospecting tools
* Experience selling into commercial property, facilities management, logistics or industrial sectors
* Understanding of energy, sustainability or commercial property markets
