About HelioForge Systems

HelioForge Systems is developing a new model for pharmaceutical API manufacturing using a biologically engineered microalgae platform that converts CO2 and light into target molecules while dramatically reducing manufacturing complexity, pollution, and cost.

The company has already benefited from approximately $13M in R&D and has validated a library of more than 600 molecules. The platform is designed to replace fragile, high-pollution offshore synthesis with a cleaner, scalable domestic bio-foundry model.

We are now seeking a highly connected CFO whose primary mission is to help the company quickly secure an initial $1M financing round.

Job Description

This is not a traditional accounting CFO role. We are looking for a fundraising-focused CFO who can:

• Lead and execute a rapid $1M capital raise

• Open investor doors immediately

• Refine fundraising strategy and investor messaging

• Build relationships with angels, family offices, strategic investors, and venture capital firms

• Assist with financial modeling, investor materials, and deal structure

• Help position the company for future institutional financing rounds

Compensation

• Equity-only compensation until financing is successfully closed

• Significant upside opportunity for the right individual

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience raising capital for startups or growth-stage companies

• Existing investor relationships that can be activated quickly

• Background in biotech, climate tech, advanced manufacturing, deep tech, energy, or life sciences preferred

• Strong communication and investor presentation skills

• Ability to work in a fast-moving early-stage environment

• Strategic mindset with execution capability

The right person sees the value created by the existing $13M in R&D and understands how to translate that foundation into investor interest and financing momentum.
