We're working with a global leader in sustainable climate innovation and building efficiency on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a high-impact leader to revolutionize energy infrastructure for the Higher Education sector by deploying cutting-edge financial models and carbon-reduction strategies.


As the Vertical Market Sales Leader, you will architect the go-to-market strategy for colleges and universities across North America. This is a high-visibility role where you will lead a specialized team of Account Executives to dismantle barriers to sustainability using innovative financing like Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) and Public-Private Partnerships (P3).


The Role

• Lead and scale a high-performing team of Account Executives focused on multi-million dollar energy services bookings within the Higher Education vertical.

• Architect and synthesize complex commercial structures including Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), Managed Energy Service Agreements (MESA), and P3 frameworks.

• Direct the sales execution strategy, ensuring a robust opportunity pipeline and accurate forecasting through disciplined CRM and opportunity management.

• Act as the executive escalation point for deal strategy, advanced financial modeling, and risk assessment for large-scale campus infrastructure projects.

• Build deep-level relationships with University CFOs, Sustainability Officers, and Facilities leadership to drive long-term decarbonization partnerships.


What You'll Need

• 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience specifically within energy services, HVAC, or facility solutions for the public or higher-ed sector.

• Proven mastery of advanced financial instruments such as Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS), Performance Contracting, and innovative debt/equity structures.

• Deep understanding of the Higher Education decision-making ecosystem, including funding mechanisms and long-term capital planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Business (MBA preferred) with strong financial modeling and contract negotiation skills.

• Demonstrated track record of hiring, coaching, and motivating elite sales teams to exceed multi-million dollar quotas.
