Your new Role
The Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) Specialist transforms complex environmental and sustainability Data into clear, actionable insights that support product development, customer requirements, and strategic decision-making across the organization. Working within a Matrix structure and closely aligned with Sustainability, R&D, Manufacturing, and IT functions, this person partners with business stakeholders to understand priorities, conduct LCA and PCF Analysis, and deliver high-quality analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
This person will report to the Global VP, Sustainability, and will collaborate closely with Sustainability stakeholders, R&D teams, Manufacturing, IT, external partners, and customers to support sustainability objectives, improve LCA capabilities, and strengthen Data-driven decision making across the business.
The LCA Specialist will:
- Execute Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations for products using specialist tools, ensuring accurate outputs and maintaining an organized and accessible results database;
- Partner with R&D stakeholders to assess the environmental impact of new product developments and identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance;
- Expand and enhance the organization’s LCA capabilities by working with external suppliers and internal teams to improve methodologies, tools, and reporting capabilities;
- Analyze LCA and PCF results, identifying trends, opportunities, risks, and priority actions that support product and portfolio sustainability objectives;
- Maintain and update manufacturing, raw material, and emission factor Data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with governance standards;
- Manage and maintain LCA and PCF information within customer-specific platforms and external sustainability reporting systems;
- Support third-party verification processes and ensure the reliability and integrity of sustainability Data and reporting outputs;
- Monitor developments in LCA methodologies, standards, market benchmarking practices, and sustainability requirements, recommending improvements and future capabilities;
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support the implementation of next-generation LCA and PCF solutions integrated with ERP and enterprise systems;
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and leverage internal and external networks to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
A typical day will include conducting LCA and PCF analysis, maintaining sustainability Data, supporting product development teams, analyzing environmental performance, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring industry standards, and delivering insights that support key business decisions.
Please consider that this role requires occasional international travel to other company sites as required.
What you will need to succeed
As a LCA Specialist, you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field;
- + 3 years of experience conducting Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Analysis within consulting, manufacturing, chemical, automotive or related business functions;
- Experience executing and maintaining LCA and PCF calculations using specialist methodologies and tools;
- Experience analyzing environmental performance data and translating results into actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders;
- Experience supporting product development, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional projects involving R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sustainability teams;
- Experience maintaining, validating, and managing environmental, manufacturing, raw material, and emissions Data;
- Knowledge of LCA and PCF standards and methodologies (including ISO 14040, TfS, PEF, PACT, or equivalent frameworks);
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, industrial operations, and sustainability-related reporting requirements (would be a plus);
- Knowledge of Data management best practices, Data quality principles, and results database maintenance;
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in working with large Data sets and technical calculations;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and generate clear business insights;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced international environment;
- Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
