Due to ongoing business transformation and the growing importance of sustainable sourcing initiatives, they are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join their team.


Your new role

Reporting to the Procurement Director, this position sits within the Group Procurement function and will play a key role in driving strategic procurement initiatives across the organisation.
Unlike a traditional operational purchasing role, this position is primarily focused on Group-level strategic procurement projects, supporting sustainability objectives, green procurement initiatives, procurement governance, and continuous improvement programmes, also supporting operational procurement activities, including tender management and stakeholder support for business projects. This is an excellent opportunity for procurement professionals who are looking to move beyond transactional purchasing and contribute to enterprise-wide procurement transformation initiatives.


Strategic Procurement & Sustainability

  • Support and drive Group-wide sustainable procurement and ESG-related sourcing initiatives
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organisation's sustainability roadmap
  • Lead procurement transformation and continuous improvement projects across business units
  • Conduct spend analysis, supplier assessments, and market intelligence to identify strategic sourcing opportunities
  • Drive supplier sustainability assessments and promote responsible sourcing practices
  • Support the development and enhancement of procurement policies, governance frameworks, and best practices
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to implement long-term procurement strategies and value creation initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional projects relating to procurement excellence, vendor management, and supply chain sustainability

Procurement Operations & Sourcing

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and tendering activities from RFx preparation to contract award
  • Lead commercial negotiations for medium to high-value procurement projects
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and contract administration
  • Work closely with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure procurement requirements are delivered effectively
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal governance and regulatory requirements


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree holder in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 6 years of procurement and sourcing experience within a sizeable organisation
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, tender management, and supplier negotiations
  • Exposure to procurement transformation, category management, sustainability, ESG, or green procurement initiatives is highly desirable
  • Experience supporting project-based procurement environments such as engineering, infrastructure, construction, utilities, energy, or technical services sectors
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team supervision, mentoring, or coaching junior team members
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Cantonese
