Manager, Financial Analysis - Clean Energy Topa Financial The Manager, Financial Analysis - Clean Energy provides strategic financial leadership and directs analytical support for clean energy initiatives and capital investments, including conducting in-depth financial analysis to guide decision-making. This role is responsible for evaluating the financial performance of Hawaii Gas projects, supporting regulatory strategy, and managing the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the Clean Energy Department. The Manager, Financial Analysis - Clean Energy will supervise analyst(s) and will play a critical role in developing staff capabilities to support Hawaii Gas' long-term sustainability objectives and business growth in a regulated and non-regulated utility environment. Lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for the Clean Energy Department, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and clean energy goals. Supervise, mentor, and develop financial analysts, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Oversee the development of financial models and investment analyses for hydrogen, RNG, and other Hawaii Gas projects. Evaluate public and private funding opportunities; manage the financial portions of applications, budgets, and compliance reporting. Support regulatory proceedings by developing financial exhibits, contributing to testimony, and responding to data requests in collaboration with the Regulatory and Legal teams. Partner with Accounting, Treasury, and Corporate Finance to ensure consistency and accuracy in budgeting, capital planning, and financial tracking. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Director, Clean Energy and other senior leaders for project go/no-go decisions. Monitor key performance indicators and create dashboards and reports that provide visibility into project and department performance. Stay current on industry trends, policy developments, and market conditions that may affect project economics or financial risk. Green House Gas/Ad Hoc Analysis/Other Assist with data collection for greenhouse gas analyses. Work collaboratively with the Finance team and provide support for special projects and other ad hoc analyses as needed. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis. Complies with all applicable corporate and Hawaii Gas policies and procedures. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner; performs housekeeping duties as required and/or instructed. Financial Analyst that directly reports to the Manager (whether in a matrix structure or not) Establish annual goals, periodic performance reviews and mentoring to the Sr. Financial Analyst. Required Education and/or Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required. Minimum seven (7) years' experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in energy, utilities, or infrastructure. Proven experience in building and reviewing financial models and investment analysis tools (NPV, IRR, sensitivity/scenario analysis). Working knowledge of clean energy technologies, regulatory frameworks, and cost recovery mechanisms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools strongly preferred. Preferred Education and/or Work Experience : ~ Master's degree in business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field. Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation : Microsoft Office Specialist - Excel Expert or equivalent certification.
