Solar Service Technician/ Electrician

About the role: We are seeking an experienced solar electrical mechanic responsible for the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of existing solar systems. This person will also be able to preform new solar electrical installation as needed. Primary focus will be on residential projects on Long Island and the boroughs. This role requires strong work ethic, dedication to the trade, eagerness to learn/improve skills and ability to work as part of a team. .

This position is NOT open for junior mechanics

General Duties:

• Work under NEC code
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults
• Ability to walk a roof and lift panels to trace faults as needed
• Preforming lineside and load side taps
• Installing Fused Disconnect Switches
• Familiarity working with PVC and Rigid/EMT
• Ability to respond to customers needs in a professional manner
• Work closely with project managers and foremen throughout the entire build process
• Must be able to keep detailed reports
• Must be able to use applications/email to submit photo files and commission/diag systems

Requirements:

• Clean / Valid Drivers License is a must. We will run your license.
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Extensive knowledge of the NEC
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be comfortable working in attics
• Hard working and detailed oriented
• Owns basic power and hand tools
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Enphase/Solaredge experience a +
