Electrician/ Solar Electrician

About the role: We are seeking an experienced electrical mechanic responsible for the full electrical installation and interconnection on solar construction projects. Primary focus will be residential projects on Long Island, occasionally the boroughs. This role requires strong work ethic, dedication to the trade, eagerness to learn/improve skills and ability to work as part of a team. .

This position is NOT open for junior mechanics

General Duties:

• Ability to size and select appropriate equipment to install
• Ability to preform full residential service upgrades, as needed, including installation of new mast/risers, feeders, meter pan, MSP and circuits, as needed.
• Preforming lineside and load side taps
• Installing Fused Disconnect Switches
• Familiarity working with Rigid/EMT
• Familiarity working with PVC
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Work closely with project managers and foremen throughout the entire build process
• Must be able to use applications and email to make daily job reports, submit photo files and commission/diag

Requirements:

• Clean / Valid Drivers License is a must. We will run your license.
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Extensive knowledge of the NEC
• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be comfortable working in attics
• Hard working and detailed oriented
• Owns basic power and hand tools
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Enphase/Solaredge experience a +
