- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology and environmental science concepts
- Use inquiry-based learning and real-world problem solving
- Connect topics like ecosystems, biodiversity, climate change, and human impact
- Design units using MYP framework (Key Concepts, Global Contexts, ATL skills)
- Develop unit planners and align with IB standards
- Prepare students for MYP assessments and projects
- Create formative and summative assessments using IB criteria (A–D)
- Provide feedback based on IB rubrics
- Track student progress and maintain records
- Teach sustainability, conservation, and environmental ethics
- Organize projects on ecological issues (e.g., pollution, climate change)
- Encourage student-led environmental initiatives
- Maintain a safe and organized lab environment
- Conduct experiments and supervise practical work
- Ensure proper use of lab equipment
- Support critical thinking, research, and collaboration skills
- Mentor students for projects like Personal Project (Grade 10)
- Encourage global citizenship and responsibility
- Work with other MYP teachers for interdisciplinary learning
- Attend IB training/workshops
- Participate in school events, meetings, and curriculum planning
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Biology / Environmental Science / Life Sciences
- Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent)
- IB MYP training (preferred)
- Strong subject knowledge in biology and environmental science
- Familiarity with IB philosophy and inquiry-based teaching
- Classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching
- Experience teaching IB MYP or similar international curriculum
- Experience with project-based or interdisciplinary teaching
- Exposure to sustainability or environmental education programs
