Recycling Sorter – Hamtramck Recycling

Hamtramck Recycling is looking to add reliable, hard-working team members to our warehouse operations. As a Recycling Sorter, you will be responsible for identifying and sorting recyclable materials from a conveyor line while keeping a clean and safe work environment. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, good communication, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Sort various items off a moving conveyor line
• Identify and separate different types of commodities
• Load and unload materials into bins, carts, and machinery
• Sweep, mop, and maintain clean production floor conditions
• Pick up debris inside and outside the facility
• Stack boxes, pallets, totes, and dump containers of material
• Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
• Maintain an organized surrounding work area

Requirements

• Must show exemplary attendance, punctuality, and reliability
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8–10 hours)
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to take direction from management and work as part of a team
• Safety-minded and able to follow company policies and procedures
