Role Description

This is a fulltime onsite role for a Nuclear Engineer , based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The position is ideal for candidates with technical expertise who are passionate about advancing safe, scalable nuclear technology. This is a general application for our Nuclear Engineering team and may evolve into a more specialized position based on candidate strengths and company needs.

You will work closely with our crossfunctional teamincluding mechanical, electrical, and regulatory engineersto support the design, analysis, and safety development of Hadrons micro modular reactor. The role spans both core reactor physics and balanceofplant engineering, with opportunities for handson design and innovation in a fastpaced startup environment.

Qualifications & Skillsets

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in reactor core and neutronics design
  • Experience with Monte Carlo and deterministic simulation tools
  • Proficiency in MCNP, Serpent, CASMO, SCALE, or PARCS for reactor physics analysis
  • Strong understanding of thermalhydraulics and heat transfer
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety analysis and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience with instrumentation and controls (I&C) and radiation monitoring systems
  • Familiarity with NRC licensing or DOE engagement is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Passion for clean energy and a startupminded approach to problemsolving
