- Drive equipment sales by developing optimized system designs for commercial buildings
- Reduce energy consumption through strategic equipment selection and load calculations
- Support sales teams with technical expertise that differentiates proposals
- Build client confidence through accurate system modeling and performance guarantees
- Perform load calculations and energy modeling for commercial HVAC systems
- Design equipment layouts for chillers, boilers, air handlers, and rooftop units
- Prepare equipment submittals and technical specifications
- Coordinate with sales teams to develop competitive proposals
- Review mechanical drawings and provide value engineering recommendations
- Support bid processes with take-offs and material estimates
- Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions and constraints
- Provide technical training to sales staff and clients on equipment capabilities
- 3+ years in HVAC application engineering or mechanical design
- Proficiency with load calculation software (Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar)
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards and energy codes
- Experience with commercial HVAC equipment selection and sizing
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with building automation systems integration
- Background in energy audits or retro-commissioning
- Familiarity with LEED or energy efficiency programs
