Role Description

This is a full-time position for a junior engineer at the Ankara office of GTE Sustainability and Energy Consultancy.


The role involves supporting national and international consultancy projects focused on sustainability, resource efficiency, climate services, and circular economy. The selected candidate will contribute to resource efficiency analyses, climate impact assessments, data collection, technical reporting, and the development of practical sustainability and circular economy solutions.


Key responsibilities include:

· Supporting the design, implementation, and reporting of sustainability, resource efficiency, climate services and circular economy studies in line with international standards and project requirements.

· Preparing well-structured, clear, and actionable technical reports, presentations, and other client deliverables.

· Contributing to national and international projects by integrating sustainability, circular economy, life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental performance perspectives into product, process, service, and system-level improvements.

· Assisting in data collection, analysis, and interpretation related to environmental performance, carbon footprinting, climate impact, and resource efficiency assessments.


Qualifications

All of the below qualifications are mandatory requirements for this position. Applications from candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered during the preliminary evaluation.

· Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in engineering disciplines, preferably Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields.

· 1 to 3 years of professional experience in sustainability, environmental consultancy, resource efficiency, circular economy, climate services, carbon footprinting, LCA, or related fields.

· Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary and hybrid project teams.

· Strong interest in resource efficiency, circular economy, climate action, and broader sustainability services.
