Lead Engineer (Evening Shift)
Job Description
his job is in high rise office complex in downtown San Diego with two large chillers. Must have hands on experience operating and maintaining: chillers, boilers, pumps, building automation system. A fire pump certificate is preferable.
The Lead Engineer is responsible for the management of all the GSH site engineering team, including but not limited to implementation of preventative maintenance programs, and the operation of all HVAC site equipment. The Lead Engineer shall also be responsible for the implementation of the GSH’s policies and procedures, safety, and training programs of engineers under his/her direction, as time and resources permit. The Lead Engineer will support the training and advancement of Utility Engineers where appropriate.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC equipment.
· Inspection of building automation systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy tracking devices.
· Inspection of all types of electrical motors and engines used to power pumps, compressors, and fans.
· Inspection of electrical/control systems, all motor controls and related equipment drivers such as variable frequency drives (VFD's).
· Purchasing parts and materials required to perform such maintenance and repairs to the building systems.
· Equipment room upkeep to maintain the physical condition and appearance of these rooms.
· Daily rounds of facilities.
· Oversight of CMMS.
· Management of all GSH engineering teams’ duties.
· Liaison for sub-contractors’ access to the facilities.
· Carry out all other tasks as directed by the client as needed, including repairs to various building systems.
(2nd Shift Position - Shift Time of 3:00pm to 11:30pm)
