Senior Building Automation Systems (BAS) / DDC HVAC Technician

Gryphon Environmental is seeking a Senior Building Automation / DDC HVAC Technician to support the U.S. Army Reserve’s 88th Readiness Division at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. The 88th RD oversees more than 800 buildings across 270+ sites nationwide.

This position offers stable, predictable hours with no overtime or on-call requirements, making it ideal for experienced technicians seeking long-term balance.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor and troubleshoot BAS/DDC-controlled HVAC systems
• Respond to alarms and perform root-cause analysis
• Modify schedules, alarms, trends, and control parameters
• Review analytics reports and recommend corrective actions
• Support Energy Managers with high energy-use facilities
• Troubleshoot BAS communication and network issues
• Maintain building profiles and documentation
• Monitor UMCS performance and trends

Qualifications:

• BAS/DDC/controls experience required
• Strong understanding of HVAC and electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose software, controls, and field-device issues
• Technical degree or relevant certifications preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Requirements:

• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Ability to pass Department of Army background investigation
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Willingness to travel approximately 20%
