Position Overview
Grid Titans is seeking a Journeyman-level Electrician Installer to join our growing team. The Journeyman Installer performs safe, code-compliant electrical installations on solar, battery, generator, and related energy systems while also supporting customer communications and project documentation through our CRM. This role blends hands-on technical expertise with professionalism in client interactions, ensuring every project is completed efficiently, accurately, and with a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems including Main Service panels, solar, inverter, backup battery systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, single-line diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and system interconnections.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, CEC, OSHA, and AHJ requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems as needed.
- Use company CRM to update project notes, track job progress, and log customer communications.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding scheduling, site conditions, and job status.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and apprentices to ensure smooth workflow.
- Mentor and guide apprentices on safety and technical practices.
- Maintain jobsite documentation including safety logs, time sheets, and daily reports.
Qualifications
- Active California Journeyman Electrician Certification (required).
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical field experience (solar, battery storage, or generator installation experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of NEC, CEC, and OSHA safety standards.
- Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (preferred: FieldPulse, ServiceTitan, or similar).
- Ability to handle customer communications with professionalism and clarity.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in outdoor conditions.
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Compensation
- Salary Range (California 2025 Standard): $85,000 – $105,000 annually
- Overtime and travel opportunities as projects require
- Compensation for prevailing wage projects in accordance with DIR classifications
