Role Description The Policy Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bratislava. This role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing policy and regulatory developments affecting electromobility and energy, and translating them into strategic recommendations for the company. The Policy Manager will engage with public authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders, prepare position papers, and contribute to advocacy initiatives that support electric vehicle adoption and charging infrastructure expansion. Daily activities include drafting policy briefs, coordinating internal input on regulatory topics, supporting grant and funding applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and alignment with national and EU-level regulations. The role also involves representing GreenWay Slovensko at meetings, consultations, and events related to transport, energy, and climate policy.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of public policy, regulatory processes, and legislative frameworks, preferably in energy, transport, or climate-related fields.
  • Experience in policy analysis, drafting policy documents, and preparing evidence-based recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Slovak and/or other Central and Eastern European languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with government institutions, regulators, industry bodies, and civil society organizations.
  • Proven skills in project coordination, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, law, political science, economics, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Motivation to contribute to sustainable mobility, renewable energy integration, and the decarbonization of transport.
  • Confidence in working independently, prioritizing tasks, and delivering high-quality outputs within deadlines.
  • Prior experience in government affairs, regulatory affairs, or policy roles within the energy, transport, or sustainability sectors is highly beneficial.
