Position / Role Overview

As a Direct Dialogue Campaigner (Face to Face Fundraiser), you will act as a public representative of Greenpeace, engaging with members of the public to raise awareness of our environmental campaigns and inspire individual support. Your role will directly contribute to our fundraising efforts, helping Greenpeace remain independent, impactful, and people-powered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face conversation with members of the public in strategic locations (e.g. malls, airports, public events, and street campaigns) to effectively communicate Greenpeace’s mission and environmental campaigns.
  • Motivate individuals to contribute as regular donors, thereby supporting Greenpeace’s ongoing work and independence.
  • Represent Greenpeace with integrity, professionalism, and enthusiasm in all public interactions.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team fundraising targets as outlined by the Fundraising Team Leader and Fundraising Manager.
  • Participate in regular campaign briefings, skill-building workshops, and team development sessions.
  • Accurately record supporter information and maintain confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Uphold Greenpeace’s ethical fundraising standards and values in all outreach activities.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated passion for environmental and social justice causes.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented with the ability to work toward daily and weekly goals.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor or high-traffic environments and engaging with diverse audiences.
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Prior experience in fundraising, sales, promotions, public engagement, or customer service is an advantage, but not mandatory — comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Willingness to travel locally (within Malaysia) as needed for campaign assignments.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum SPM and university certificate/diploma/degree in Communication, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, or a related field

Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Tamil or Mandarin is an added advantage

  • Sales/Fundraising in Charity Organisation
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Training or Certificate

  • Fundraising/Sales certification is advantageous

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
