Summary of the position:

The Tele-Fundraising Officer plays a crucial role in connecting with supporters to enhance engagement and increase financial resources for Greenpeace. This position focuses on inspiring greater contributions from current and previous supporters while attracting new donors by strengthening relationships and ensuring that contact and payment details are kept up to date and valid.

The officer is responsible for conducting calls efficiently and professionally and maintaining the values and reputation of Greenpeace and the Telefundraising program. Each interaction is designed to be positive and solution-oriented, creating a meaningful connection between financial support and the achievement of positive environmental change.

Main job responsibilities:

  • You will conduct effective outbound tele-fundraising calls on behalf of Greenpeace East Asia
  • Your tele-fundraising calls include but not limited to contacting our current and previous Greenpeace supporters to increase or renew their support; or to contact the general public to gain their support.
  • You will need to be very passionate about the environment and have a strong belief in the work of Greenpeace.
  • Your role plays a vital part in enabling Greenpeace to strengthen our relationship with supporters to ensure maximum funds can be raised to support our campaigns.
  • You will be positive and always maintain maximum donor satisfaction.
  • You will be required to perform other administrative and ad-hoc duties including handling incoming phone or email enquries as assigned by .


Working hours:

From 10:30am to 7:00pm or dependent upon work demands start and finish times could change with appropriate notice
Monday to Friday, five days’ work per week

Job requirements:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Passionate and eager to be the voice of Greenpeace and be part of the change in protecting the environment of our fragile earth.
  • 2 years experiences in sales industry or customer services. Priority will be given to applicants with call center / telemarketing / NGO experience.
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated, and determined to achieve the given targets, which include; contacts per hour, income per hour and success rate.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle stress in a positive manner
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills and good telephone manners.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Cantonese. Good command of English and Mandarin preferred.
  • Good administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, effective email communication and typing in Chinese and English.
