Be bold. Be creative. Be part of the fight for a green and peaceful future.

At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we believe a better world is possible and we’re determined to make it real. We are an independent campaigning organisation, powered by people and creative action, taking on the biggest environmental and climate challenges of our time. Our priorities are:

  • tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source; and
  • protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by stopping the largest sources of environmental destruction like industrial fishing and deforestation.

Whatever your role at GPAP, you’ll be part of something bigger: a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision‑makers to account, and drives lasting change for people and the planet. This is an opportunity to use your skills, creativity, and commitment to help shape a future worth fighting for.

CREATIVE PRODUCER

Role: Full time, 13 month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Flexible - Open to candidates Australia wide

THE TEAM

At Greenpeace Australia Pacific, we believe storytelling changes the world. Our Creative and Engagement teams work together to inspire millions to act for a green and peaceful planet. We amplify voices that are too often unheard, reveal the truths that matter, and spark hope through powerful visuals and compelling narratives. Joining us means working alongside passionate campaigners, content creators, and strategists who are driving environmental action across our region from Australia to the Pacific Islands.

THE ROLE

The Creative Producer is the driving force behind Greenpeace’s most inspiring and high-impact creative content. You’ll lead the design, production and delivery of innovative photo, video, and multimedia projects that mobilise people, raise Greenpeace’s public profile, and strengthen our campaigns across the Australia Pacific region.

Working closely with colleagues across Engagement, Fundraising and Campaigns, you’ll ensure every creative piece, from large-scale videos to social media graphics, tells a consistent, emotionally engaging story. You’ll also help shape and implement Greenpeace’s creative strategy, ensuring brand integrity, accessibility and continuous innovation.

In this role, you’ll likely get the opportunity to get involved and experience our incredible Greenpeace ships, including our GPAP ship, Oceania!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualise, plan and produce high-quality multimedia content (videos, photos, design assets, and brand resources) that inspire environmental action.
  • Collaborate with campaign, fundraising and engagement teams to develop creative strategies that meet cross-organisational goals.
  • Manage external creative suppliers, from briefing to delivery, while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and impact.
  • Provide creative advice and production support across the organisation, ensuring all outputs reflect Greenpeace’s brand values.
  • Use analytics, audience insights, and feedback to test ideas and continually improve creative content performance.
  • Contribute to agile “rapid response” moments during key environmental events, delivering compelling creative content under tight deadlines.

This is a hands-on role that blends creativity with strategy, storytelling with impact, and collaboration with technical excellence.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You’re a creative all-rounder with a strong sense of purpose and a portfolio that proves your ability to turn ideas into stories that inspire action. You thrive on collaboration, stay calm under pressure, and know how to balance vision with execution.

You’ll bring:

  • 4+ years’ professional experience as a creative producer, video producer, graphic designer, or photo editor.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering strategic, accessible multimedia content across digital campaigns.
  • Strong production and project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, briefs, and relationships with suppliers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and solid understanding of licensing, copyright, and accessibility standards.
  • A strong grasp of digital engagement trends and a passion for environmental and social justice storytelling.
  • Empathy, cultural awareness, and the ability to engage authentically with diverse communities across the Australia Pacific region.

We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • Be part of a globally respected brand: Work with one of the most influential names in the environmental NGO space, backed by five decades of courageous campaigning.
  • Work-life balance you can rely on: A 35-hour work week, supported by GPAP’s integrity framework, plus generous leave options (including an additional week of paid leave between Christmas and New Year).
