Supporter Connections Administrator
Be bold. Be creative. Be part of the fight for a green and peaceful future.
At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we believe a better world is possible and we’re determined to make it real. We are an independent campaigning organisation, powered by people and creative action, taking on the biggest environmental and climate challenges of our time. Our priorities are:
- tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source; and
- protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by stopping the largest sources of environmental destruction like industrial fishing and deforestation.
Whatever your role at GPAP, you’ll be part of something bigger: a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision‑makers to account, and drives lasting change for people and the planet. This is an opportunity to use your skills, creativity, and commitment to help shape a future worth fighting for.
SUPPORTER CONNECTIONS ADMINISTRATOR
Role: Full-time, 13-month Maximum Term Contract
Location: Hybrid working - 1 day per week in our Head Office in Rosebery, Sydney
THE TEAM
The Supporter Connections team is a motivated and skilled team focused on building strong relationships with donors and non-financial supporters, and inspiring members of the general public to do more, give more, and stay longer as we campaign for a greener, more peaceful world. This role will report to the Supporter Connections Manager and work highly collaboratively with our broader Fundraising and Technology department.
THE ROLE
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of supporter engagement - building lasting relationships with donors, volunteers, and advocates. You’ll handle a variety of inbound and outbound interactions across phone, email, social media, and other channels, helping supporters deepen their connection with Greenpeace’s mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver exceptional supporter experiences through warm, professional, and timely communication.
- Manage a wide range of administrative and data processing tasks with accuracy and care using Salesforce CRM.
- Process donations, update supporter records, and maintain data integrity across multiple systems.
- Inspire supporters to stay involved, donate, or upgrade their support through empathetic conversations and personalised outreach.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to continuously improve supporter journeys and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Greenpeace policies and uphold our values of integrity, respect, and non-violence.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You love Greenpeace and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative working environment. You are reliable and results-oriented, with strong attention to detail. Your friends and family think you have the gift of the gab which will serve you well as you’ll be talking to our wonderful supporters - A LOT.
You have experience providing warm, friendly and efficient customer service, and administrative support and are excited to apply that to our supporters here at Greenpeace. Most importantly - you’re the welcoming voice at the end of the phone (and our email and social media channels) that inspires and connects people to our work!
You’ll ideally also have:
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, administration, or fundraising roles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills (70+ wpm) with high attention to detail.
- Confidence using Salesforce, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools like Slack (or similar platforms).
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A passion for environmental and social justice and the values of Greenpeace.
We recognise that sometimes the right person for a job is based on personal qualities and not just qualifications. If you are not sure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to make an inquiry or go ahead and apply.
