DIGITAL CAMPAIGNER
Role: Full time, Permanent Position

THE TEAM
Our goal is to bring down the might of the fossil fuel order standing in the way of a sustainable future and we need your help to do it. We are looking for a creative digital expert, who can develop engaging content for web, email and social media audiences through much needed digital storytelling to change the world.
You’ll join a highly skilled, dedicated and passionate team of seven digital engagement experts, including social media, engagement and content creation specialists, working in a fast-paced dynamic environment committed to driving campaigns with impact.
Our team works across campaign areas including Climate and Energy, Nature, and Pacific. This role focuses on both Pacific climate and Pacific nature work with the purpose of collaborating on the development, implementation and evaluation of strategies to deliver climate action for Pacific Island Nations.
We expose environmental crimes, hold companies and governments to account, promote climate solutions and inspire others to create positive change.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Digital Campaigner to execute our online engagement strategies. In this role, you won't just be "posting content", you’ll be delivering creative, high-impact digital campaigns that address the biodiversity crisis and climate emergency. You will be the bridge between our global missions and the audiences who make our work possible.
As our Digital Campaigner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end digital lifecycle of our campaigns. You will work across teams to balance the needs of campaigning, fundraising, and engagement, ensuring our voice is loud, clear, and effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Multi-Channel Strategy: Designing and executing end-to-end digital journeys that convert casual followers into committed activists and donors across email, web, and social media.
- High Impact Content Creation: Producing thumb-stopping visual and written content (via Canva, Capcut and Adobe Creative Suite) tailored specifically for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Audience Growth & Acquisition: Partnering with the Digital Growth team to implement creative tactics and paid media strategies aimed at rapidly expanding our supporter base.
- Data Driven Optimisation: Running multivariate (A/B) testing and analysing web traffic and social sentiment to pivot strategies in real time during rapid response moments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acting as the digital "glue" between the Campaign, Fundraising, and Communications teams to ensure a unified voice and maximum storytelling impact.
- Brand & Performance Monitoring: Managing SEO/SEM principles and monitoring both supporters and detractors to protect Greenpeace’s reputation while amplifying our climate and biodiversity missions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who deeply understands the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Someone who has strong graphic design, digital content creation, and production skills in Canva, Capcut and Adobe Creative Suite. Copywriting skills along with familiarity with channel-specific content needs are certainly a big bonus.
You’ll have a background in graphic design, communication or digital marketing.
You’ll ideally also have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in social media campaigning, digital organising, digital marketing and/or campaigning space
- Experience working with Pasifika people and/or understanding Pasifika context is a bonus
- Knowledge of building audience lists and growing support for campaigns online and through social media, using paid and organic methods
- Excellent skills in writing and publishing content for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, and a willingness and enthusiasm to engage with emerging platforms
- Exceptional copywriting skills and proficiency in Canva, Capcut or Adobe Creative Suite
- Deep knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
- Experience understanding data to inform rapid-response campaigning and SEO/SEM strategies
- The ability to exercise judgment in politically sensitive environments and thrive under pressure

Annual full-time salary: $101,272.80 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
