Role Description: GreenPath Advisory is building a pool of tourism and sustainability experts to support upcoming consultancy assignments in Uganda and across Africa. The expert will develop and deliver training programs for tourism operators, support marketing and sales efforts for sustainable tourism products, and prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams at GreenPath Advisory to integrate tourism and sustainability considerations into broader consulting, data, and capacity-building projects. We are looking for professionals with experience in:

• Business development, business model design, scaling and fundraising within the tourism industry
• Development of practical guides, toolkits, and manuals for enterprises and MSMEs.
• Sustainable tourism certification, readiness assessments, and adoption frameworks.
• SME capacity building, training, and stakeholder engagement.
• Climate resilience, environmental management, and green economy initiatives.
• Research, policy advisory, and institutional strengthening in tourism and sustainability.
• Communication, knowledge management, and dissemination of best practices.
• Expertise in Travel & Tourism, with knowledge of sustainable tourism principles, destination management, and responsible travel practices.
• Experience in sustainability, environmental management, or development work, particularly in tourism-related projects.
• Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and prepare clear reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Proven capacity to work on-site with communities and organizations, including field visits and stakeholder consultations.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Familiarity with regional tourism trends in East Africa and an understanding of community-based and eco-tourism models.

Profiles of Interest

Tourism consultant – Senior professional with a Master’s degree and 5+ years in tourism, sustainability, or development consulting. Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and experience producing practical resources and certifications.

Sustainable Tourism Specialist – Professional with a Masters / Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in sustainable tourism consulting/programming, SME support, and knowledge of certification systems.

Subject Matter experts – Experts in business development, Training, climate change adaptation, environmental management, social impact, training/capacity building, and financial/grants management.
