We’re looking for a Technical Solutions Leader to sit at the center of this approach.
About the Role
This role is the technical backbone of Greenlink’s Technical Solutions Team (TST). You’ll serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Operations, and Customer Success, ensuring that every project sold is technically sound, buildable, and aligned with performance and margin expectations.
This is not a quota-carrying role and not a traditional sales engineer position. You own technical leadership, solution integrity, and system design across:
- Commercial & Industrial (C&I)
- Multifamily
- Residential
You’ll translate customer goals into high-confidence, build-ready solar and storage solutions and stay engaged through early execution to ensure intent is preserved.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rockford, IL.
What You’ll Do
- Lead technical design and validation of solar and storage systems across multiple market segments
- Serve as the primary technical authority supporting Sales during discovery and proposal development
- Ensure proposals are technically accurate, defensible, and aligned with performance assumptions
- Define and communicate the technical value stack: energy offset, resilience, operational impact, and risk reduction
- Deliver clear, build-ready designs and technical documentation to Operations
- Bridge gaps between Sales, Engineering, and Construction to prevent handoff issues
- Support continuous improvement of design standards, tools, and internal documentation
- Mentor and support technical growth within the Technical Solutions Team
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Strong experience designing energy systems
- Background in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical sales support
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience collaborating across sales, engineering, and operations teams
- Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience with C&I and/or multifamily solar and storage projects
- Familiarity with tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, Energy Toolbase, or similar
- Exposure to building science or whole-building energy concepts
