Role Description The Environment/Pollution Control Officer is a full-time role responsible for overseeing environmental compliance across Greenlight Renewables’ projects and facilities. This hybrid position is based in Taguig, with a mix of on-site work and approved work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring emissions and waste management practices, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring adherence to relevant environmental laws, permits, and regulatory standards. The role involves preparing environmental reports, supporting environmental impact assessments, coordinating with internal teams and regulators, and recommending mitigation measures for identified environmental risks. The officer will also support environmental awareness initiatives, assist in policy implementation, and contribute to continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Environmental Compliance and Environmental Impact Assessment, including monitoring, reporting, and mitigation planning.
  • Understanding of Environmental Policy and Environmental Issues relevant to renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Practical familiarity with Environmental Law and local regulatory requirements, permits, and standards.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring, pollution control, and implementation of environmental management systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; professional certification in pollution control or environmental management is an advantage.
  • Ability to analyze technical data, prepare clear reports, and communicate effectively with regulators, community stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and to work in a hybrid setup based in Taguig.
